One of Gyronimo's pilots, Patrick Weir, was flown off on a solo mission to the far north. Pat was right around the arctic circle when he captured amazing footage of polar bears on a small isolated island for 3 weeks. It was 5 crew, a tent, and a shotgun just in case! JUNE 2013 GUYANA JUNGLE

After receiving a call from Bear Grylls, our team went to Costa Rica to shoot aerials for "Mission Survive". Deep in the jungle, they captured amazing footage of scenery and the forest canopy, dormant volcanoes, waterfalls and of course Bear himself!
MARCH 2015 NORTHERN LIGHTS
Opening up a great year of shooting aerials began with a trip to the Yukon where DJI asked us to capture the Northern Lights as never before, at night, from the air. Using the new Sony A7S low light camera, we grabbed amazing footage in this video released on Youtube, and entirely shot and edited by Gyronimo Aerials.
MAY 2015 GOLD RUSH SEASON 6
Gyronimo has been working hard continuously with another year of Gold Rush - Season 6. This is our third season of GR and the aerials have become an integral part of the show. From opening sequences to everyday shooting on all GR mine sites and activities, you can guarantee you will see lots of Gyronimo Aerials on every episode!
This season opener was shot entirely with Gyronimo equipment, pilots and camera operators.
JUNE 2015 AFRICA
This summer saw a huge demand for Gyronimo Aerials worldwide, shooting 10 series with multiple episodes. One of the biggest shoots of the year was for National Geographic in Tanzania and a show called "Mygrations".
Shooting 39 of 42 days and traveling in a caravan across the Serengeti, the guys captured amazing footage of wildlife in their habitat throughout the region.
OCTOBER 2015 PANAMA
Bear Grylls and "The Island" had us in Panama for a week to shoot ocean footage and establishing shots for the series. This encompassed high speed boat-to-boat shooting and chasing on the Pacific Ocean followed by the jungle and other areas creating a sweeping backdrop for the show.
NOVEMBER 2015 THAILAND
In November, BBC called us for a series of wildlife episodes for the Natural History Unit. This took us to Thailand for 2 weeks of beautiful overhead shooting in amazing and timeless parts of this country. More aerials for the BBC are scheduled for next year so stay tuned for the latest.......

This just in from Thailand: After an extensive trip up in the mountains, the guys sent back this awesome footage of thousands of bats exiting a cave from the inside! We were in the air with them getting awesome POV and closeup shots for BBC Natural History.

Starting the new year off with another trip to the jungles of Southeast Asia, the guys are shooting more wildlife (not with the guns!) in a remote nature preserve.

BAJA MEXICO "PENNZOIL" WITH CAR DRIFTING CHAMP
Chasing a high speed drift racer in the desert of Baja is no easy task, but Simon and Patrick just spent 4 days doing exactly that. With a new state-of-the-art hexacopter they chased Rhys at speeds of up to 70 KMH and against 40 KMH winds!
